Return of the traveller

After a long absence i've gotten off my lazy backside and decided to write you all a nice news piece...
Okay everybody, not much to tell really. Here goes; This year has seen a few developments, lets start with the work related stuff; After spending most of last year as a Issues manager for Post office Litd in London, i took a job as a Finance Council for Southwark Council, learned a computer system called SAP, took another short contract before working as a SAP consultant for most of this year. I recently resigned and am now a Business Analyst performing a review of council customer services. As for travel, this year has seen my obligatory pilgrimage to Holland and Amsterdam (and Antwerp to see my friend Jona), as well as a trip to Almeria, Spain with Neil Hooper (where we got poisoned almost to death by Moroccan hippies living in a remote community in a national park (San Jose) beside an abandoned Moorish castle). The rest of the holiday was not pretty and is still painful in my memory. For eveyone else (Neil excluded) i am sure its bloody funny! After that I went to Oslo, Norway, to see my friend Liv. I threw my passport away at the airport and realised this on the way into Oslo (a 150km bus ride from the airport!). Now, being a seasoned traveller what i did next should be an example to all of you; i got really drunk. The next morning i found the internet and made calls and after a while discovered my passport was waiting for me at the Ryanair check-in! Hooray! So, what i did next was go round to Livs house and that night i lived a dream; partying with 9 Norwegian girls. I even pinched myself to make sure it was real. I must have looked like a bit of a stud! After that, my next travel was to Netherlands for the Lowlands festival with my new girlfriend Karen (from Holland) which was great. Since then i have been back over to see her and last weekend we went up to Edinburgh which is a great city. Anyone still at uni or going to uni; study at least one semester there! I feel a bit too old for it, but if i was younger and knew what i know now, i would study there. Depending on how things go, I may be moving to Holland very soon, probably to a town called Leiden. I have an important interview on Monday and if that goes well i will work as a business analyst in holland on a project which will be starting asap. I will put some pics, links and if they work, videos up onthe site. Have a look around. Oh, and on a sadder note, this has been the year of sporting Englishness; losing the cricket, eagles losing the grand final... very sad. and my tan is gone too. the horror... the horror........
